tC defender & CAI question
First off I had to defend the tC's honor yesterday. Being a tC owner in the Detroit area is ruff. My bank shares a parking lot with a UAW office and some guy started mouthing off about my car (refered it as a Toyota) bieng in a Union lot. I told him that my nonunion job pays for this nonunion car so I could park anywhere I please. As I walked to the door he couldn't let it go and yelled that I need to move my car. As a natural raction not even turng around I fliped him the bird like the Staue of Liberty holds the tourch and proceeded on my way. Any snappy come backs for when I bump into this guy again?
Next order of busniess I need an air intake upgrade. My debate is ram air or CAI. The Weapon seems to be a good choice but I haven't found one that fits an 08. So Injen is my fisrt choice. I know the basic function is the same. I was just wondering what system delivers better results ram or CAI?
I'd like some feed back from owners of both sides. Pros and cons.
Much appreciated!

This is just a roughhhhhh basic idea, lol. Not to be taken literally, and I don't want to get bashed.
Short ram, under 3k rpm.
CAI, over 3k rpm.
I think the CAI sounds better than the SRI. ^^
If you live in an area that floods easily, set it up as an SRI instead, that way it doesn't end up sucking up water.
Unless you get one of those Injen/AEM water filter things for intakes. I forgot which one makes it.
You'll get better top-end gain with a CAI.
Where as with an SRI it has better bottom-end gain.
Hope this helps out bro.

Tell him his union is what will end him up with no job when the company finally folds due to paying ridiculous union wages and protecting the lazy workers
Oh... and the non-union American based toyota plants will still be running strong
I would love to buy American, but as long as the morons running the unions dont realize that what they do drives up the cost to manufacture and drives down quality, it will keep getting worse.
Unions had thier time... it was GONE years ago. They serve now to protect the lazy, make people feel like they are entitled to salaries they dont deserve without pulling thier weight to get them and to give reason for strikes... which further damage the economy.
Niether a CAI or SRI will give you any noticeable effect other than sound. Technically a CAI should be better, since the SRI is pulling in warmer air than the stock intake. Restriction is a moot point on this since no matter how much you open it up, the TB and intake mani is going to become the bottleneck once you go much over stock. The manufacturers can show all the dynos they want for them (which, are normally right after install and the car is runnign slightly leaner at first anyway)... no proven gain at all on a track and no noticeable gain in the car pretty much means thier claimed gains are off. And while you MAY gain a tad in one part of the band, you will lose it elsewhere. If you shop for one, shop for build quality, looks and sound.

^ True .. some of those guys are so union brainwashed they will do that stuff. They will defend it mroe than thier own wife... usually because they are one of the lazy b@stards that the union is protecting, since they are getting paid top wages for crap work and have the "have to get written up X times in a year before being fired" game they can play.
I have worked at union companies before. I paid dues for NOTHING. I worked hard and earned my raises... only to be held up because the seniority (seniority means NOTHING IMO) mentality of unions. I had to sit and watch the lazy guys not show up twice every year because you could only fire them if they did it 3 times, get paid the same as me to sit on thier **** all day, etc.

HAHA! I know first hand that these union guys are nothing but lazy cry babies. My inlaws are supported by the union and all I hear about is how much they don't do. Yeah I could have got a discount but who wants a discounted piece built by unmotivated workers? Toyota has plants down south so it's not like my money isn't going back into the economy just not them. Besides all thier wives buy foreign anyway.
