Default tC flywheel weight?

Anyone have any idea how much the stock flywheel weights? I did a search and couldn't come up with anything. Also what are my choices for flywheels, i've only found ACT or something like that so far.

Thanks in advance!

CLutchmasters. ALthough i have the parts (clutch, flywheel) i haven't installed them yet due to waiting for the quafie LSD and install them all at once, so i can't tell you the weight of the stock flywheel, but I heard 20+ lbs

Ask lo_bux_racer, he's installed like 5 or 6 flywheels in the tC. He likes Fidanza(sp?) flywheels, I think they're like 8lbs.

Here is his thread on installing one:

yeah i saw that thread when i did my search but i didn't see anything about the stock weight vs. after market weight.
also, i know on 350z (previous car) each lb. saved = 2.7 crank HP, is that also the same for the TC or is there a different ratio?

anyone have any idea?

I don't know about gaining horsepower but your acceleration would definitely improve due to less rotational mass.

Here's the link to the Fidanza:

Only 9.5lbs!

I think we have a stock tC flywheel laying around the shop. I'll try and weigh it.

We also have thos Fidanza flywheels in stock. We use them in our shop car. They are nice.

We managed to have a group buy at yoursciontc.com. We paid $249 each +shipping for them through Titan Motorsports. I don't know if you want to do something like that here at scionlife, but it's a data point anyway.

I have a Fidanza flywheel and Spec stage 3 six puck sprung clutch kit on my TC and I love the way the car feels with it. I finally broke the clutch in and when I stepped on it, I broke the tires loose through first, second, and a thrid gear chirp lol. The car feels nice with the new setup and my 20% underdriven crank pulley. I paid $249 shipped for my flywheel from Titain Motorsports when they first offered them.
