tC Hard Cold Start problems..
every once in a while i have a hard start in cold weather (30 degrees F and below). The dealer says nothing is wrong with it... anyone else have this problem or know of anything i can tell the dealer to check?? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Get a colder cranking battery....
sometimes my tc has a hard start in cold weather, but im boosted so that might have something to do with it, but even n/a in the freezing cold the first start of the day was always just a tad longer

np, my dads car did the same thing when we went to the mountains where it was snowing lol
but does it do it everymorning? or just randomly?
if it does it everymorning. try starting it on the weekend later in the day when it warms up a bit to see if it starts up without a problem

This sounds normal. A battery’s capacity to store energy is affected by the ambient air temperature.
As the temperature decreases, your battery’s capacity to store energy also decreases meaning there is less energy available for the motor starter the colder it gets. At -22 Deg. F, a battery’s capacity is reduced by 50% from it capacity at 77 Deg. F.

Conversely, a battery’s capacity to store energy increases at temperatures over 77 Deg. F, but battery’s life is shortened.
For every 15 Deg. F above 75 Deg. F, battery life is cut in half.
Think of it this way...
Lower temps = lower capacity but longer battery life.
Higher temps = greater capacity but shorter battery life.
