I was actually gonna make a turn down that bolts onto the stock pipe for this, but I am not sure how everyone will react to it. There is is only two other tC guys that I know that have done this as well. They love it too, but others are very skepitcal about it. I like the sound too.

Heres an idea for those of you who are planning to do this. I did this about a year ago before I got my new exhaust. Take the 2 springs on the bolts. And put them in between the axleback connection and the mid-pipe connection and bolt it back together. This way it is seperated and you get that growl sound and you won't need to take off the whole axleback off. You could just take the bolts apart but the mid-pipe and axleback will rub against each other.

No defects, only thing can happen is getting the undercarriage dirty.

ive had mine like that for a really long time... probabloy about 6 months now. nothing bad happends except that the trunk heats up and melts all the plastic stuff thats in the trunk and holds the tire changing crap. other than that its cool. i like the sound but i do i have it pushed apart instead of taking it off completely because when i get pulled over i tell the cop that the exhuast is broken and that i didnt do it on purpopse and for some reason they believe me....peace

hmmmmmm..........this just gave me an idea. i've been going through hell the past couple days after i installed my headers. I've got greddy evo2 axleback and now alphawerks headers to go with it.....only problem is that is sounds like a pos ricer. im considering doing this now..unbolting the axleback and putting the springs between and see what happens....i know you guys said it sounds awsome with the headers but how does it move no the highway? we wont loose out on our top end right??

I just did this today. awesome mod, hah. It does get louder.. I noticed that at first it's loud.. but once u get it workin throughout the day, it gets louder. beautiful sound.. no rasp at all! hey, it saved me a few hundred bucks! As for the highway, i'm kind of at a blank state of mind right now, but from what I remember.. The sound is there but it's not too annoying to the point where you'll get a headache. try it out TruTriNiPlaYa.. it's a very easy, savoring, worth-it mod. soowooop.

If you have a header and rasp with exhaust... taking the exhaust off will make it every worse... if you have a stock header... it'll be MUCH quieter.

yeah its not loud to a point where u get a headache.. even on highway.. there were couple of times where there were cops behind me but never got pulled over... i was just driving it normally at quarter open throttle through each gear... great modd though but if i it get a header, i'm prolly gonna get the new draxas exhaust that supposedly might sound good w/ header

yeah, basically this mod is ideal for an intake and stock headers. stock headers/no axleback = poop can
