tC or SRT-4?

their resale value may not be the best (SRT-4) but everyone seems to ge the idea that it'll fall apart before 50k miles. there are plenty of owners on srtforums.com who have gotten above 50k with no problems. and the only real reliability issue i'd worry about it is the powertrain, and their engines are pretty solid, dunno about the transmissions, though

The bottom line is priorities.
The Toyota will obviously deliver better reliability and the insurance will be lower.
If being practical is your priority, the Toyota is the obvious choice. If performance is your priority, the SRT4 has massive stock power a stock LSD instead of silly traction control and is easily tweaked to 300 hp. No matter what the tC crybabies say, tC cannot touch the SRT4's performance in any area, not with a supercharger even.
SRT4 is a solid performer, but the Neon itself is not terribly safe or exceptionally reliable. Not practical, but it will show a clean pair of heels to any Toyota at any price pretty much. You can't argue with the performance value for the dollar it delivers.

Neon ecchhh!
Agree with every bit of info that was said before about the SRT-4 Walkin all over the tC before we even get to third but for I swear someone is going to burn long for that design. I mean for Jebus sake can a car get any uglier than a Neon. Also yeah some people are doing fine with them maybe even 75% but I would guess that at least 25% had some major problems with them before 20K was up and the lot of them haven't even reached 50k. It is a Dodge after all. You either had a good one or you had one that sucked all that was good and holy out of you. I think one might gather where my experience lay.
