are you sure the cel code is for the catalytic convertor not being there?
deficient cat does not cause your mpg to go down. it will not effect your performance.
however, if you damaged the primary o2 sensor in the oem header, and you have a CEL for that, then your car will be running safe mode, and that causes your mpg to take a nose dive.
first pull the cel code and make sure that the code is for the lack of a cat, and not a damaged o2 sensor.
now, does an anti-fouler work, if done correctly, it will. i have been running the weapon-r one for about a year and everything works fine.

yes it works.
either buy the one they sell .....
or make your own use two spark plug antifoulers . drill a 1/2 inch hole in one and screw them together.
i made my own it was cheaper

I have heard it work for many, for some they still had issues with the CEL. Moving the O2 bung behind the second cat would be the best way to ensure it never comes back, but if the antifouler works for you, then that is a cheap and quick way to do it.
And as mentioned, the code caused by not running the antifouler has nothing to do with the way the car runs. So if your mileage suddenly got much worse, you may have another issue.

Mine has been going strong for over 2 years now. I would recommend using anti-seize compound on the threads where the o2 sensor and antifouler meets and again where the whole assembly meets the s-pipe. It may help in removal should the fix not work for you.

i just wonder who voted no and WHY?
the question was :
Does the Anti-Fouler Worth the trouble?
the answer is: yes.. the cheapest and easiest fix what you can have.
ok maybe not the easiest if u have to drill. just buy the L shaped one for 10 dollars.
i have megan racing header and i had to drill my fouler but it wasnt a big deal.
ended up using 3 fouler because cel came back on highway when i used only 2.
if u have cel because of the header. do the fouler trick.. if the cel comes back try to install a third one if its still there after you reset the ecu then relocate the sensor behind the high flow cat.
