Default is there a "more quiet" tC header?

All the headers out for the tC .... which is the quietest header? I do not want a very loud sound after a header swap and I do not know which header to go with. Draxas should be comming out w/ their header soon...wonder about that one.

LOL..i just posted the answer in the other thread you started...https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=94746

I think as of now the MMW header is the best for a stock exhaust system...they seem to have the least amount of rasp. Likw I posted in the other thread though...ots all about exhaust setup...thats where the rasp is controlled.

My Megan Racing header has no rasp at all with stock.... when my precisionmuffler.com axleback arrives, I'll let you all see and hear what it sounds like....

All headers will be pretty dang close on noise, as they all do away with the precat, which ups the noise level quite a bit.... It's all about resonation later on.... the PM Axleback sounds like a really great option, since they've run it with the MM Headers and it sounds great....

I'm still waiting for it to get here, but when it does.... we'll know at least one more combination of header/exhaust....

Yup, I have the same set-up too, except I have the ZPI s-pipe as well and like I posted on the other post, my Injen intake is louder then everything else, I will soon add some kind of exhaust system as well, hopefully it will be the right set-up as well.

I would think that if the header and spipe is changed out then you arent going to get that much more performance with a different exhaust setup (because thats not the higher restrictive area).... is my logic right or wrong?

After you swap out the header and s-ippe, then the stock exhaust piping and muffler becomes the biggest restriction. Going to a full 2.5" exhaust with a high flow muffler will complement the header and s-pipe very well and add more hp than if it were added to a stock exh manifold and s-pipe.

The CEL issue only happens when the anti fouler mod isnt done correctly or the sensor is damaged during removal. If done properly you wont have a CEL. I have had my header on for a few months and a few thousand miles with no CEL...this includes street driving, highway runs to Vegas and road course racing on the track. It really is a complete solution that works very well, is extremely cheap and easy to install...could you ask for a better mod?

Very well put, I also have an atifouler and no CEL, I've driven between Cali. and AZ a couple of times and no problems here.
