For those with AEM DryFlow Air Filter...
i have a injen cold air intake currently. i wanted to switch the filter out to the dryflow air filter due to the overwhelming number of ppl who gave positive response about it. anyways, i verified with dan at assaultech who said that this part number 21-203DK would fit.
when i got the filter yesterday, the box said 21-203DK but the filter which was wrapped in a plastic wrap said 21-203DD. so my question is, 21-203DK the same as 21-203DD? i checked the website but did not find a part number listed as 21-203DD.
i e-mailed dan, but it's over the weekend so no response yet. i figured i asked you guys first so i could install it asap. here's the website below.
and the dryflow filter looks a lot smaller than the injen filter... does that matter? the specs on the filter is 3x5 and i measured it which seems to match.

As long as it's 2.5" piping and 5" cone it will fit...So try it on.
Also filter's come in black or white filtering material color. So those letter's i believe stand for different color. Easy way to check is to just type in that part number to google and look at links untill you find and you will find it because i know i've found it before.
Good luck.

i didn't want to put it on, because i would have to remove the front bumper and all. i'm gonna wait until dan from assault tech confirm that it's the right part number before i remove everything. on their website, the filter measures 3" x 5", but when i measured it, it comes to 3" (opening) x 5.25" (cone). so it's probably 3x5.
you dont have to remove your bumore for CAI.
When i had my Fujita CAI i installed it and changed out filter's without touching my bumper.
1) Remove your left wheel or turn it all the way to the right
2) Unclip fender liner
3) replace filter.
4) put you liner back on with clip's
5) install your wheel or if you did not remove it you are done.
Just an advise even when Dan will reply to you...

^^ ohh thanks, i'm just basing it off my charge pipes as an example that's why i thought it was 2.5" and i think my fujita was 2.5 as well but i can't remember as it's been over a year since i even seen any kind of CAI.. but i still think that those codes are just colors.

I don't know man i can take off the wheel pretty quickly, but like i mention when i was installing my CAI back in 07 i did not even remove it.. Simply turned the wheel all the way to the right, unclipped the wheel fender plastic and 15 minutes later i was done.. it took me longer taking off my stock air box then installing CAI... ofcourse i could have taken my time and made sure not to scratch it, but i think i did fine...It's a personal preference, i simply think it's easier without removing anything because i don't want to loose any clips cuz it happens almost all the time, lol
I find removing the bumper to be easier than taking off a wheel. To get to the wheel i have to dig out the jack, impact gun, and torque wrench where as with the bumper i get my electric screwdriver with 1/4" drive attachment, a u-joint, and a 10mm(i think) socket. 5 minutes later the bumper is on the ground. Another 5 minutes and it's back on.
i have a rechargeable impact gun, i just life of the car and take the lug nuts off...boom done then when im done, torque them back down, ive never taking my front bumper off even when doing my apt fogs
Take care
Other than that they both do the same job equally well.
figured that, actually goona order one tonight, cause did lots of researching as another person mentioned the aem is a little more free flowing then the injen, but im getting it just cause oil free....and got great feedback
