I changed mine yesterday(after 20k or 30k) and that thing was BLACK. I'm gunna have to start changing it at 10k.

well here's my work for today:

very old and dirty injen filter. about 50k miles on it!


new aem dryflow filter! looks red, but its actually gray.


comparison of the two filter. exactly the same. part number 21-203DK from assaultech.com


here it is installed.


here's my in-cabin filter after a few thousand miles!!

also cleaned my maf sensor.

did the maf sensor look dirty?

I think i got the wrong air filter because mine is significantly larger than the injen filter.

why didn't you just clean the injen filter and reuse it? thanks for the part number on the cabin filter lol

vlad1024: yes, the maf was very dirty. the little orange bulb was so dirty it was black. after cleaning it down, you could see the color again.

aciddrop: i could've cleaned it, but i wanted to try to dryflow filter. now cleaning it will be easier.

I should probably get on that then...

@aciddrop: I too like the fact that the filter is dry and easy to clean.

that i know that it's easy to clean as i have an aem intake with the filter as well but cleaning my old fujita was easy too.

so i just got my dry flow filter the other day<i took the old one out,i didnt realize how dirty it was with less then 10k miles on it,couldnt clean it cause didnt have the oil for it,so i pop on the new filter,and i felt a little more of a kick in throttle response,just feels overall smoother,people might say its my head but you know when you feel it,
wish i this this sooner,
