Ok what's the deal with a throttle body spacer? Ive seen a couple of sites selling them, what exactly do they do to increase hp? And also does anyone know where you can buy the Alphawerks TB?

 

Please, please, please use the search. The TBSs have been discussed MANY times (try the link in my sig if you're not getting good search results). They do nothing for the tC. Do not waste your money.

 

Ok so the spacers are junk, what about the the actual TB? I did a search but im not having the best of luck

 

my friend has one on his tc and he has a before and after dyno he says and it increased his hp by 10

 

^^a throttle body spacer? that is BS right there, there is no way just a TB spacer increased the hp by 10

 

I think he meant an actual Alphawerks Throttle Body, no the spacer. 10hp is steep claim for a TB, but it's certainly possible if he was already FI and had other mods

 

just talked to him... he has the spacer only... well he has a lot of other mods... header, full header back exhaust, pulley, cai...

but he said he dynod the before and after and he doesnt remember the exact number but he says the torque increase was around 10 and that he also saw another dyno of it showing the same..

just relaying what he said... he said that and changing out his header were the 2 things he noticed the most change from...

his stuff is fast too... his best time is a 14.2 thats with no FI

 

Yea with all the other bolt on, not just the throttle body spacer
