I'm working on a trans swap for my car from auto to manual.

I'd appreciate no bashing or flaming.

I have a few questions.

Would a cluster from an 05-06 work on an 07.

I know there a few different specs from 05-06 to 07 as far as ECU so I'm assuming ECU from 05-06 wouldn't work for 07 right?

And has anyone else done this swap? I've already checked a few threads about it.

 

I mean with the price of TC's these days ever thought about jsut trading your car in for a 5spd, whatever mods you have just take them off and put on your new car.....

Save you a ton of time,headache, problems that might occur, and possibly a ton of money

 

not necessarily, my car has been in a few accidents even though it drives perfectly it still is going to be devalued drastically

The ECU I dont think will work, but you will need to check that out more since I am not positive.

The cluster should work fine. The HVAC module changed in 07, but the cluster should be the same as far as I know. Your mileage will be off, since it is stored in the cluster, if you install a used one.

 

yeah i know the mileage will be off but that's not what i care about really, as long as the mileage is close to mine or lower.

ever thought about getting a custom one from LEDmod.com or anything like that? Could get a center tach conversion

well i do want to do the conversion for the center tach and different leds for my hvac and cluster


but i want to know if the mt cluster would work from different model years.

 

have you actually pulled up the car fax history on your car? it really doesn't mean anything. i've had a few accidents with my tc, but my car fax still shows nothing.
