Default Transmission Intercooler

Im not sure how strong the AT is on our tC's but my tC is at Toyota getting looked at because there is some ATF leaking out of the drivers side drive axle thing. I saw it when I was putting my header on lol. So whats the deal here? I dont know if any of you auto owners have had this happen to your tC's but Id like it not to happen ever again and I would like to know that when Im putting more power onto my car its not going to cause any other related problems in the future. Im not saying my few mods have caused this but I know that more power = more heat for the tranny. Where can I find a universal transmission fluid cooler and would it be complicated to install? I want to get one so I can have peace of mind when I add power mods. Thanks!

try the hayden 403 tranny cooler...you can buy it from any local parts store for about 40-50 i think....super easy install. I had one on my V6 accord auto, worked like a charm.

get a tranny cooler from B&M. they make nice kits. I'm not sure what the fitting sizes are for that transmission though.

Guys dosent the TC already come with a AT fluid cooler? I think it is located or afixed to the radiator.

You are correct. We've been debating on connecting a second one for turbo kits, but not really sure if it's necessary or not. I don't have a local Auto tC but when we open up soon in FL I know there's a few members here dieing to help out!

But yeah, we've had great experiences with the B&M tranny cooler we sell. We used it on our Dezod D17 02 Civic EX auto.

We sell 8 different coolers, including race applications:

a very basic unit yes, but changing that to a higher end race unit will keep temps just that much lower.

So Joe, which one would you recommend that might have the best chance of fitting but still have great cooling capabilities? Im not looking for one with a fan because I want it to fit in tight spaces and be a simple install.
