Default TRD Exhaust Question

Does anybody know if the TRD Exhaust is illegal to have in California? From the vid clips that I've heard here in the forum...it seems pretty loud. To me it sounds pretty cool cuz it doesn't have that ricey sound to it but I'm just wondering if it's legal to have.

I really doubt it..since Toyota sells it and actually offers it when you buy the car.

It is not illegal to have the TRD or the Precisionmuffler.com axle back on the tC. Both exhaust systems meet the sound and smog requirments. So there is no reason for you to be worried about a legal issue. Sound laws have the exhuast to be at 95db, the trd and the precisionmuffler.com tC axle back are well below those ratings. But be cationed that when you add a header the sound will go louder.
