Is the TRD exhaust worth it? Do you feel any gain or throttle response? I want to get all TRD stuff because of the warranty.

 

no, no and no. I am afraid of voiding my warrenty too, but there is practically nothing that the dealership could blame on an aftermarket exhaust system.

 

Yes you get a little gain, any aftermarket part voids the warranty, best sounding exhaust as well.

There is a little gain.. less than some aftermarket exhaust, mainly due to it being only an axle back. But it sounds great (better than most aftermarkets that i have heard), and I am planning on having the rest of the piping replaced to match, so I will see more of the gain. I like mine so far. And really, the 3-4 more hp you will gain with an aftermarket is pretty much negligible.

 

My dad works at a Toyota/ Scion dealership and there no TRD part void the warranty. I have the exhaust and springs on mine.

 

trd won't void warranty. they install that at the dealer so how can it void it? my dealer told me i can add intake, header, and exhaust and my warranty will still be cool. i got that ____ in writting. now my hondata on the other hand......lol

 

it sounds deep and sounds mean at idle and its not a ricey tone!

 

The exhaust sounds great with the amount of exhaust a stock tC produces. If you get headers, the increased flow makes it sound like a rice can. I sold mine and I'm using the stock exhaust until I get a full catback.

Its not worth it for some, but for those that can afford it without wincing about it, I'd tell them to get it in a heartbeat. Its covered under warrantry, gives decent additional hp's, and sounds nice....

go with the borla its a full cat back sounds great and is offered at the dealer under warranty. It also cost exactly the same as the TRD.

 

can TRD exhaust be install without welding?if yes, is hard to install by a yourself?.

 

shouldn't be too difficult, it should be a direct bolt on.
