Ok, I have a small sound clip.. I want you guys to hear something and point me to the right direction.. I'm guessing it's an exhaust leak.. if it is, i'm going to a muffler shop tomorrow to re-check things..

but what i'm talking about is after I rev, you can hear some sort of choking or sputter sound in the end as the RPM falls. is that sound normal? my instincts are telling me that it's an exhaust leak.. or is it just the exhaust? .. bleh.

here's the 24 sec vid with a startup + 2 revs.. nothing special.. i just need help finding out what's wrong, or if it's normal, then i'll make the vids i promised.

aznrac3rpoi, unsungfate.. does your exhausts sound like that?

and yes, it's louder in person. i believe sound clips dont do justice due to the lack of quality of some components.. i used a sony digi cam.

From that video it kinda sounds like this wrx ( http://www.hksusa.com/info/media.asp?id=1759 ) when you get the leak fixed you need to make another video and rev it way higher

sure does. but if i had any melting problems or ratting i would of stated it. only thing there is, are scratches from when i was installing the axleback.. accidently kept bumping against it while i was trying to put the thing on hangers.

yeah, i got you on the vids bro..

haha, it does make that sound on the wrx too.. strange. maybe it has to do something with the catback after all. im still getting a leak check though.

yeah, i feel you on the revs.. i just made a quick vid to get some help on the sound.. it's pretty tough to explain it with just text so i provided a vid to compliment my problem..

until then.

that sound is normal for catbacks, im not sure if mine does that dont pay attention to it much, but if u have that sound its not a problem, for the rasp just throw in a highflow cat or a glass pack. that Magnaflow highflow will work fine they just have to cut out a section and weild on the highflow. and no it will not make it legal. the high flow is more like a resenator then a actual cat.

i guess i confused you guys with that sputter sound and rasp...

cruising around.. it's nothing but a DEEP tone.. even at WOT no rasp, and i only have an injen cai.

i was talking about the sputter at the end of every rev. i just had a bad feeling about that sound. so hopefully it's normal.. you think so?
