TWM Shifter, base and shift cable bushings install (2007)
I figured I would post this thread for those 07 guys who always seem to be skeptical on fitment. I install my STS today and absolutely love it. All the problems with the stock shifter throw length and what not with my style of shifting are gone. It shifts so crisp...love it even more than the STS I had on my Probe.
The STS and base bushings install took about 45 minutes. I took my time as not to break anything. Something I noticed that was different from the directions was two clips that hold down the top plastic piece that holds the pivot ball in place. I am guessing they are added security to make sure that plastic piece doesn't come loose on that end since the other end is held in place by the rod. Its nothing major but they are a pain to get loose and get back on.
The shifter cable bushings install took less than 5 minutes. I am guessing this was becuase of me having a cold air intake.
So long story short.....everyone get a STS for your car. ITS SOOOOO much better than stock. I am unsure of how much a different the aluminum bushings make over stock, but I am sure its a good bit most likely. Now all I need to do is get a shift boot for a short shifter.

Yea, the base bushings dont do much. The cable bushings are much more noticable.
So did you get the stage 1 or stage 2? (i'm actually looking for recommendations b/c i have the bushings, but still saving for a short throw)
Install sounds pretty easy to get all that done so fast. Glad to hear its not too hard. Although still, 45 minutes....you must of known what you were doing! Congrats!
