Hi people,

That's what people do to install universal exhausts. If it bolted up, it wouldn't be universal.

^This. Just cut off old muffler, then weld on any needed piping and weld new muffler, also any new hangers, done.

Several guys have done it and realized they wasted their money. The stock muffler flows very well. The Descendant Racing exhaust is the only one that really improves the sound and manages to give a little more h.p. above 3k prms. You lose tq. from idle to 3k though.. There is a sticky in 2g Drivetrain & Power.

Right. But that doesnt mean that all universal mufflers will fit the 2011 tC right? Once installed it void's the warranty for the car :S

Whether it fits or not comes down to dimensions. And no, it won't void the warranty unless they can somehow prove that it was the cause of engine failure which would be highly unlikely, if not impossible.

Well firstly, a 2011 tC is a 2nd Gen, this is the 1st Gen tC area. Secondly, you can do ANYTHING to your car as you want, it will only void the warranty on it IF the cause of the warranty claim is the part(s) you installed. "Universal" is a loose term, as long as it will fit in the cavity of the old muffler, and have the proper sized inlet/outlet to the stock pipes, then you will have no problem.
