Default Universal mufflers

I'm looking for options on universal mufflers. More specifically I'm looking for a side inlet - same side outlet. I've done some searching but haven't found much. To quell any future flaming, I'm not looking for any power gains, I just want an exhaust that is a little more aggressive than the stock muffler, and looks better. Mostly I don't want to spend a pile of cash on a bolt on axelback. I'm an experienced welder and I don't see the need to pay for something I can do myself. So if you have an example of a "roll your own" exhaust let's see it.

only ones i know of is flowmasters and magnaflows. i would go with the latter tho as flowmasters on a 4 cylinder sounds like dog poop. if u can weld then all the better, alot cheaper on ur wallet.

i have the exact muffler you are describing, or so i think?

the muffler is from magnaflow, sounds great on stock piping, and even better when you modify your car a little bit.

Brand: Magnaflow
Part Number: 14210

inlet and outlet are 2.5 inches

That's exactly what I had in mind. How's the sound? Is it the same muffler as the 16640 magnaflow catback system?

heard good things about the borla, wouldn't know though.

I would suggest going to your local exhuast shop and see what they got for mufflers.

Here's something else I came across. The dynomax 17675. It's the same size as the magnaflow but it's 3 chambered so it may be a bit less noisy. The best part is the $50 is price.

dont get chambered mufflers.. they SUCK.

get a strait through, perforated muffler. you will get better sound and performance.

and yes, the muffler is the same as it is in hte catback, i just didnt wanna pay that much for a catback, because it is useless.

anyways, it sounds great... i have a video if you want, just ask,

I like your set-up!...from the video it doesn't sound that Loud..or is it??
At least it doesn't sound like a freaking Tin Can!!....

Oh, the "WEE!" at the end of the Video is kinda funny too!

So the MagnaFlow Muffler got painted silver??...
and did they have to add the piping and bending also??

Thanks dude!

thanks for the comments.. the WEE was my little bro, he makes jokes

but ya.. the muffler was stainless steel, so it was all shiny, but i like to keep it subtle so i painted it along with all of the raw piping that teh exhaust shop had welded.

i cut the pipes myself, when i had the tools, it was really easy, just took ALOT of time.

but since it is universal, your going to have to either have a muffler shop crush bend your exhaust, or have them do a mandrel bend exhaust, but it will be a little more

sorry.. must have missed that one

i could feel a slight gain, but only with the header and full exhaust installed.

if you only have the axle back you cant really feel it.. and to be honest with you.. since i have put on my mods i cant feel the increase only because i have been driving my car this way for a while..

however, when i drive a stock tC.. its like night and day difference.
