Default Unknown Engine Problem - Please Help Diagnose

hi guys. i just brought my car back from the stealership spending $130 on a diagnostic and $109 on a cleaning service (similar to what people do using Seafoam). the reason i took the car in was because the engine shakes pretty hard when i'm in drive at a complete stop. the engine shakes so much that you even notice the windshield wipers rattling. the people at the dealership said they weren't able to repeat the issue so they want me to bring it in again. has anyone experienced this type of motor shaking with their tC? please help me figure out this issue because i don't want to be forking out money for no reason. thanks guys.

I don't know if this will help you be it helped me. Reset your ecm . You can do it by scan tool, If you don't have one then you can unplug you EFI fuse and crank you engine for 3 seconds. Or unplug your cars batt.... then go for a drive where the motor reaches proper operating temp.

mine does, especially when the ac is on....but that's because i had the mounts replaced with polyeurethane inserts. check your motor mounts.

I'd take a look at your motor mounts. might be a possibility.

I've read some stuff too about a a loose idle tensioner pulley.

does it go away when you start driving?

Do you still have warranty??

If you don't have any mods then it's def a motor problem that warranty should cover.

it really isn't a question about whether or not the warranty coverage is in effect, but the problem is duplicating the problem and getting the dealership to acknowledge it and diagnose and repair the problem.

yes, the car still retains the powertrain warranty, but like draxvaliber said, its not the warranty that matters. what matters is whether or not the stealership could replicate the issue. it seems like they weren't able to, so i'm going to have to take the car back in on saturday. could the belts possibly be what's causing the problem?
