So one should get the headers and put it on with stock exhust and runit for about 3k miles before switching to a different exhaust? Or will it not work that way?

it can work either way. i think the catch is that just for the first few hundred miles, if you have after market exhaust, the sound will be a bit raspy until everything has broken in.

Is it the same with the DC sport? or just megan?

K&N intake, megan header and stock exhaust sounds pretty nice. i think the main problem is the TRD exhaust, not the s-pipe.

This may be off topic, but I just installed the K&N CAI, and I have noticed a whistle around 3K, and again right before shifting. I have checked all of the connections, and they seem tight... Does anyone else have this issue?

We will be installing the megan racing header on our company car on Friday. We are making our full kit exhaust for the car as well and should go on sometime next week, as soon as it does, I will post up opinions on it cause I hate rasp. However based off the research on this site, it appears to be the s-pipe and trd axleback to blame... Remember our exhaust is not an axleback

but the whistle in the tC is more defined due to the manifold. so its louder.

I'd be really interested myself. So far the exhaust tone has been deepening very slightly as the days go by, but it still has a really annoying rasp when stepping on it. If you guys have a reasonably priced fix, I'm definitely down. I did buy my headers from you afterall
