my cousing owns a manual solara..and i know they are available in manuals..

The 98 Camry 2 door and the Early Solara's with V6's came with a choice of manual transmission. I can't confirm that the manual Solara was available in the US, however it was an option to our neighbors in the north.

x2 i drove a manual v6 camry once, it was a weird color shifting brown black. One of the coolest things i saw at the dealership.

This is insane.. NICE WORK! A little while after I got my tC back in 04 I noticed there was a decent amount of room in that engine compartment, and I started looking around at v6s, but I never went much further than that. I'll be watchin this one! :D

well, if u wanted a 5spd V6, you should have gotten the Solara SE...lol...just messing....i havent read much of the posting...but did he say he was gonna use the tranny from the solara se? i considered finding a solara se v6 motor and 5spd tranny...but opted to just stick to wat i have and continue to slowly work on my car piece by piece. he's gonna have a powerful car....he should have gone with the 3S-GTE beams engine. ive also considered doing that swap also...maybe in a few years when i have change in the bank....can ne one say DRIFT_TC? :D
well..cant wait to see what he will posting up on numbers...btw....trd supercharger for his new swap or TURBO?

Plenty of 1MZ's came with a manual tranny. I'll quote myself on this one...
Sure there is. The Gen3.5 and 4 Camry's had an SE edition that was manual with the option of a TRD short throw shifter on the gen4. Plus the gen4's also had the option of a TRD S/C.
...and the Solara also had a 1MZ/manual option.
Beams or not, a built 3S-GTE would be a sweet swap. Altho totally unnecessary labor wise with all the quality FI kits on the market for the VVT-i 2AZ.

Dude, congrats on the awesome project. It's finally good to see a -REAL- tuner workin' on his car -rather than the typical guy tackin' on LED tail lights/projector headlights/stickers galore and callin' himself a tuner.
