Default Weapon R CAI

thats right people as of next week i shall add a cold air extension to my weapon r....last week my filter messed up so i bought a K&N cone, because the foam filter sucks. Well after i did that the filter became so close the MAS that i noticed my cars performance go down...after hours of using trying to get it further i had no luck without spending more money. So i said forget it and im going to to ebay to get this and use the extension and make it cold air.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-06...QQcmdZViewItemthats the cheap intake. then use my weapon r intake as the first part. my question is will this be a huge waste of money or will i have made somthing worth while

IMO... if you're having trouble with the Weapon R, you shouldn't bother extending it, just sell it and get an Injen or K&N or something that's a real CAI.
