Default Weapon-R Torque damper broke

I remember this in a topic before and I spoke too soon. My Weapon-R engine torque damper broke the lower bracket. It lasted me 19,750 miles and 6 months. I have polyurethane motor mounts on order but for now I ordered the Ingalls Stiffy.

Nothing new there. The bracket is the worse piece of crap ever made. I broke mine with 3 good launches when I had my supercharger on . Bad part is, they want you to do all kinds of nonsense just to get a replacement. I rather not be bothered with Weapon R crap anymore

Call up WeaponR and they will get a new bracket out to you. The new design is much better and wont likely break ever.

Not trying to sound negative, but I did that and was told to send the braket with PROOF of where I brought it in the box. Then they will look everything over and then hopefully send a replacement in 4-6 weeks. What a pain in the butt. I just got the ingalls damper instead and I'm happy with it so far.

Thats how a properly run business should handle returns honestly.. there should be a folder created, along with any financial documentation to support the warrantied items.

I've dealt with Weapon*R on several things already.. one big thing being the whole engine issue.. I would say as long as your professional and actually have a part that is defective.. there shouldn't be any issues at all.

On that note, I think honestly of all my years in the logistics feild.. the only company that I have ever dealt with that actually didn't require any type of paperwork to be sent back with the item, was Megan Racing.

Oddly enough, they didn't even want the old header back.. I would think they would want to do some sort of examination of the header.. thats just me I guess.

Mine broke a while back and I also had to deal with the BS of attempting a return. Unfortuantely, I bought mine from a private party but none the less I don't feel that should be an issue. Yes, maybe inspection and crap like that but proof of purchase is overkill. It's obviously their part and obviously built like crap....so what is the big deal of shipping out a new piece of metal that I presume is mass produced?

I jsut had a friend reweld and add some more metal to it and so far it has worked....

P.S. when it broke the Ingalls was like 385 dollars or whatever completely stupid ridiculous amount that it was when it was first released.

I have had zero issues with mine. Hell they even brought me a new one to SEMA just to make sure I had the new style one. Sorry to hear about your guy's troubles but they do have a better one made.

That's probably b/c it was only SEMA you know. Maybe they wanted their "new version" on a car that will be getting alot of publicity at one of the biggest car shows in the world

hey munch, how do you like the ingellis damper i sent you. i loved it, minus the noise and feeling the need to constantly spin the tires because it was fun to get rid of wheel hop

It's cool. I think I might have bent it though . One too many hard launches on my new slicks and LSD did I number on that thing. I'm gonna make it stronger with some more metal.
