Hey I'm new to the forum and I have a question. When my car is running, hot or cold, it sounds like a piston ring or valve is sticking. I had a corvette before this and it was not dohc so I'm wondering if this is supposed to make that noise. Thanks for any amount of help I receive.

 

what year is the car ? also are there any mods done to the car ?

 

Our cars valve train is noisy all the 2azfe's do it. Some are louder than others, synthetic motor oils and headers tend to make it slightly louder. My car has 64k on it and it has always done it.

 

i got header and syntetic and its LOOOUD!!!

 

Wonder why synthetic makes it louder?

 

i have turbo and sytnethic oil and ive always had that noise so i wouldnt worry about it, atleast if its the same noise im talking about haha

 

i have that noice too and i am like 4958 miles....i hope its normal

 

Its an 06. It sounds like when you would start your car in the cold but constantly, warm or hot.

 

18k miles always had that sound

 

i just got my motor and trans oil changed

motor oil L royal purple 10w30 full syntetic
trans : mt90

and believe it or not the clicking is not that loud anymore!!!!

it was much more high pitched clicking noise and i still hear it but its a much more flat noise...

 

what the... i guess my exhaust and music has always been too loud for me to hear anything..

 

well.. you can only here it while u not moving.. once you move the noise is gone...

 

oooooooo.. i see.. hmmmm... maybe i just never noticed it.
