Weird noise from engine please helppppp
I have a weird noise coming from my engine from under the silver semi circular cover, as soon as I step on gas and then I get a clicking noise as if its hitting something but I have no idea....pleaseeeeee helppppp
describe the click more. An airy one that increases with throttle id probably an exhaust leak. A real metallic sound sound might be lifters, or if you have done any tuning or changed your spark plugs recently and didnt gap them right or didnt use iridium plugs it might be a spark knock. Also what semi circular cover are you talking about?
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...050394#3050394.......... please see this post , ive heard the click before and the result was a blown engine, a noise that i personally thought was a belt and figured id just have to maybe replace it and it prolly could have beeen fixed if i had gttne to the dealership quickly, so my advice is dont drive the car unless your going to the dealership. i made that mistake i went out on a sat night knowing that the noise was there and later that night on m.y way home booom engine blew
well wat can that be from?
becuase i got an oil change today, and thats when it all started...
than when i brought it back to the spot where i got the oil change...they told me the click noice is coming from under the valve cover...so what can that be caused from?

Tow it to the dealer - if you want to check something then get a clean pan to catch the oil and remove the filter first. If it is empty . . . that is not good! If it was loose it should have pumped all your oil out on the ground already. Oil not pumping means your oil pump is not priming - which is rare - or it is not turning . . . again not good! Sometimes the pickup is blocked or broken so it only pumps air . . . also not good but sometimes easier to fix.
