well my transmission had nothing done to it, and i talked to a tech at the subaru dealer i work at, and he has been workin on cars longer then i've been alive, he said he would take a look at it and do the work for me, and said it was the cluch that was the problem, but ill double check with him tomorrow
I would think that's the clutch, mine was exactly like that in my old car, you're revving hard but you can barely get some speed, lol mine only tops for about 10 mi/hr after 30 secs of reving..
how many miles you have o your car?
how many miles you have o your car?
55k
and yea i explained the situation to paul and he said its mostlikely the clutch, when i drive it feels like ALL of my torque is gone
kinda like a civic hybrid w/o the awesome gas milage

im 90% sure its the clutch.
its a clutch...its somethin called slipping everyone that means you need a new clutch.. get the flywheel resurfaced or get an after market one (napa resurfaces them) the one near my work does a good job...
oh and about the clutch......that clutch idn much about i had a spec stage 2 which was 30lb tq increase and its was good i liked it...fast engagement...that one says competition tho watch out you may burn that one out fast with city driving...may be alil aggresive for the street. i think any performance clutch that says street friendly is bs neways cuz they engage harsh..but go for it

well its a stage 1 and heres the description from Dezods site:
The CC Gravity 2400 series kit is the economical solution for moderately increased cars and/or stock cars driven in an aggressive manner. This clutch system will safely guarantee 40-50% increase in torque capacity and still deliver extended life. This kit includes a Competition Clutch pressure plate, a 6 pad Carbotic high-torque performance disc assembly, all applicable bearings and the appropriate alignment tool.
doesnt seem too harsh. i do a lot of driving (as you can tell with 55k in 2 years) so i need somethin reliable. and i dont want another stock clutch cus it seemed pretty weak if you ask me, i want something a little more sportier, which is why im also thinkin about getting the flywheel and clutch line. along with redline tranny fluid...

what about just the TRD clutch its proplly wont be as harsh. especially for the drivin you do i hated having my spec stage 2 which wasnt aggresive...its up to you but 40-50% is beefy its gonna be harsh...clutches suck you will never find one you like unless is a 100% track car or a non modded car and all of us have lead foot and love modding so theres no damn happy medium
ok well i ordered the clutch and Ingalls Clutch lines this morning and well im driving to work and YUP the clutch blew on me
so i had to have the car towed home and im w/o a car for the weekend. thank god for Paul over at Dezod. hes getting me the clutch by monday and is shipping it to my dealership, should cost me anywhere from 100-350 in labor monday
f*ckin A man... ill let you all know how it rides afterwards.
I have the competition stage 4 clutch and I'm not turbo'd but I still love how it "bites"... I may need to get a new flywheel because the OE flywheel revs the engine slow...
Get a lightened flywheel too, those mods will make your car feel like new or even better!
