Default What brake Fluid?

What brake fluid does everyone recommend for track days and autox?

I have been looking into: Motul 5.1 which seems to be a DOT4 fluid and can still be driven on the street without harming the seals and or needing to bled all the time.

Thoughts? what do you run?

After larger tires, and better pads im sure my fluid and lines need to go... :-)

I use Ate (Ah-Tay) Super Blue in my car, it's the same as Ate TYP 200 but with a dark blue dye. They're boiling points are between Motul RBF 600 and Motul 5.1. Either fluid will do fine for AutoX and daily driving.

We run Valvoline SynPower in the race cars, and the brakes on those get a whole lot more work out than any street car on an Auto-X course.

Ya I can say the stock stuff can not hang with the track days. Its time to change it anyways. I am trying to see if I can get some speed bleeders for this car first. :-)

Thanks for the replies any others?

You can get the speedbleeders from RacerPartsWholesale, 7mm x1.00 - 30, speedbleeder part #SB7100. My full set was ~$37 shipped.

ATE superblue. it is easier to flush too, due to the different color than stock

The Motul 5.1 is not a DOT4, it is a DOT5.1
This is not the same thing as a DOT5. It has some characteristics of a DOT4 and some of a DOT5. You can use it in the tC although it is only really recommended for track use because you will have to bleed your lines frequently as it will absorb water like no tomorrow.

The motul rbf 600 is ideal for track use. Thats what I would buy if I were tracking the car.

Valvoline Synpower DOT4 is a great brake fluid for us non-trackers.

Read through this thread. I got this information from these 2 guys. They are both VERY knowledgable. TheInstigator works for stoptech (take his word as gospel):

5.1 is fine for solo events (HDPE & AutoX), and it's used with a lot of success. If kyle1745 was lapping the car regularly he might need DOT4, and I highly recommend it anyway, but he's not going to run into issues as long as he changes the fluid regularly.

And now, the obligatory StopTech link :
