So I read on yoursciontc.com about doc i's GFI Stage 3. Ive searched on here, SL, and there about GFI and Ive come up with nothing! I feel so stupid for not being able to use the search function correctly.

WHAT does G.F.I stand for?!

I understand the heat-soaking theory and makes a lot of sense. My question for you guys are...

*Answered 1. What is the meaning of GFI. ( GFI = GHETTO FAB INTAKE. LOL. )
2. Does it yield noticeable gains?
3.What is stage 1? (what do i need to do and what materials will I need?)
4. How do I get to stage 2
5. How do I get to stage 3



Sorry if its been answered many times before, but I'm just getting so anxious about this mod that I just have to know!

If anyone can help me out, it would be great!

UGH! I read all 22 pages twice only to find this on page 2 on the thrrd time around:

Summary:
Stage 1- Correction, look above.
Stage 2- Remove air resonator.
Stage 3- Remove intake piping from air intake box to throttle body.


In stage 1, what angle did he use as the bent-pipe from the box to the flex tubing?

And in stage 2, what exactly is the air resonator?

The air resonator is the big weird box thing in the middle of the intake tubing. The box itself is connected by a clamp and doesn't appear to do anything except baffle the air.

As far as gains go, Doc measured a considerable difference in IAT. Whether that translates into real power is really questionable.
