I need to get one of these brackets for my intake.

Any suggestions where I can pick it up? Should I call one of the companies? Home Depot? I dont know...

 

what do u need it for? it just looks like an L bracket that you can buy from anywhere.

 

I think its more of a U shaped bracket, but I couldn't find one in lowes or home depot.

I suppose I could do that. I hope they would sell me just that part however. Also, it looks like its sitting on a rubber piece - I guess its to eliminate vibrations, etc? I guess I can call them and hopefully get those parts. If not, i've been searching hardware stores with no luck, so i'm fairly desperate at this point

 

If you have a drill you can get some aluminum. Bend it to how you need it and drill a hole for the screws. And if you want to add something rubber just get some rubber washers. I made something like that to mount the evap sensor to

 

that's what i was going to say. its a simple bracket. get some metal, bend it, put a hole in it and your done.

 

Sounds good. Thats a heck of a lot easier than buying the bracket from weapon-r. I can ply a piece of metal.

Now for that rubber piece, does it seem necessary? does it avoid any sort of issue or should I just leave it out?

 

Looks to me like a rubber "stopper" with a hole in the middle that you'd get at Home Depot. I use them under my CNC machine to eliminate vibration. Around $1 I think.
