Where they being cool or was it just luck?
I took my car to the dealership for some issues with the stereo, a/c, sun roof rattle, and I can sometimes here wind whistling into my car through the side windows or sunroof. The guys at the dealer noticed I had my check engine light and you know what they said. They said don’t worry josh we will take care of this for you and it will be ready by next Tuesday. At first I thought sure wait till they pop he hood and see the turbo. To my surprise I get a phone call at around 5pm that same day which was yesterday Friday. The Tech manager calls me and says Josh we are replacing everything under warranty including your o2 sensor the a/f one that the car has that’s easily over 200 dollars straight from the dealer. They complimented me on the turbo and said they drove the car and it felt better then driving it with the supercharger they also liked the handling. This was coming fom the tech guys at the dealer ship they said it was better than the super charger. Well beside the fact it was covered under warranty we all know that with custom turbo exhaust and suspension the damn car is no longer covered. I GOT LUCKY or they really are just cool guys!
For the record I know that the only thing that shouldnt have been covered by the warranty was the sensor that went bad due to richness. But hey 2bills is 2 bills.

the dealer can replace the part (even if you have aftermarket mods) if htey want, they can just choose to "overlook" the turbo, etc.
so yes ur lucky, and yes they are cool....most dealers would have said they would not touch your car do to the turbo, so you found urself a dealer to keep!!

I totally agree about not pointing out the dealer thing. That is why I had to edit it and remove the dealer name. LOL but yea if you guys need to know what dealer to go in that is in cali let me know I live in ventura but anyone from the 818 805 661 323 310 could go there assuming they dont mind the drive.

I brought my car in a few weeks ago and the manager was like "what do you have done to the car, it sounds nice" I told him header, intake, exhaust. We got talking and I also told him I was going to get a turbo but was worried about the warranty. He said not to worry as long as I don't do any internal changes that they can tell.
This maybe something a lot of dealers may do or start to do cuz they want this stuff done to the car cuz it creates more sales. Either way, I'm still a little worried but I'll find out when I get my turbo and have to take it back for something.

I cant believe they didnt hassle you with your turbo setup. I was at Longo Scion yesterday, and they wouldnt even lube up my hotchkis sway bars for me because they were aftermarket. I was told that they were my responsibility. Even after I explained that I got them installed through a Toyota/Scion dealer so that they would be covered, they told me that I would have to go back to the original installer to get them serviced.
Longo is a great place, but i think they need to lighten up on the anti aftermarket parts campaign they seem to have going there.
