Ahh, it was an ill-conceived attempt at humor. The title says headers.

:shrugs:

After dual chamber muffler and resonator, to take care of the rasp, my car is SOOOOO torquey off the line, but loses all power at about 4500 rpm, it actually starts to buck a little, nothing violent, just annoying as hell. I don't like that part, i wish i could fix it.

Lots of interesting input here; some useful and some not. But I can assure you that it's not drivers error, I didn't even have to shift into the next gear to know I would not be able to catch up.

I will check my air filter and clear that code and see how it runs.

Thanks

Its all good man - it wasnt driver error but we know for a fact that the spipe restricts and the trd exhaust does also. Also - headers are going to produce more hp out of a FI application.

The setup you have is just jamming up. The turbo people are getting nice gains w/ changing the exhaust out .... s/c guys arent ....the spool of these small turbos are really getting the cars going.

What good is the header to open up the exhaust when you have a stock spipe and midpipe?

get an ARK full cat back exhaust(proven gains! you know you willl be faster, plus awsome sound, and no rasp) and you will take those lightweight powder coated rims by a bus length ;)...

also being they are pretty much the same car things like tire pressure and extra weight you might have could make a difference. I think it has to do with the TRD (crap exhaust)...

Anywhoo, all these boltons should be done for looks and sound as you can throw on a full exhaust (header and straight pipe, highflow cat with a muffler), intake, pulleys, shortshifter, etc and lightweight the car and you would still lose to a stock 350z...

if you want power go turbo or go with another car..

unless your engine is built - thats pretty uneducated. Throw a nice 75shot in your car and see how fast it will stop moving.

^ ya - but back on topic - change out your exhaust and you will feel the car will open up better at higher rpms. I had an s-pipe back and my stock header - when i put my new header on i fealt more pickup (in 5th) while in the parkway/turnpike (meaning on roads i was doing 60mph+

75 shot = stop moving?....

for the money he would spend on a new exhaust he might as well get a nitrous kit and feel some real power...

http://www.compperformancegroupstore...NITROUSSYSTEMS

this is a very high end kit-- i would personally get this one (and i am going too) but if your on a limited budget i believe NX sells one for half the price.

75 shot (hell do a 50 if youre scared) > exhaust
$800 nitrous kit > $5,000 turbo

ps. make sure you get educated first though its not as simple as strap it on and go, again hit me up and we can talk about the specifics, im not an expert on nitrous but i am certaintly pretty well educated....

he means 75 shot shot and say goodbye to your engine...

if nitrous is so good why dont you think everyone uses it? its alright but its dangerous and it runs out fast, whereas a turbo is done properly will always provide you with whatever power you are looking for all the time and rather safely..
