Will this intake work?
I ordered a injen cold air intake for my scion tC and the picture shows that it is for a 2005 scion tC 5 speed. I am wondering if it would fit on an automatic scion tC.
Please help me.
thank you

i'm not too familiar w/ the design of the engine w/ the tc, but on the rsx there are 3 different kinds of CAI. one for the base auto, base manual, and the type S. so he does have a good question. wish i knew man. sorry.
wtf people. ever been new to a forum? you tease "Please help me"? yes it will work (it's a 2005 tC all part) and you're welcome.
just make sure it is legal in your state or you'll be changing it out to smog.

Hmm...I'm not sure because I haven't looked at both engines. In an automatic, I heard, not sure, that there's some kind of extra component, but I don't think it really matters because it's just a change in transmission. Everything else should be the same. Here's mine, it's a 5 speed.

I can take more pictures if you want. This is just what I had.

thanks for the pics mann, its a really big help.
and umm... what did u have to do to install ur intake? ive been hearing rumors on taking out the bumper, fenders, and the wheel. also how long did it take to install?

Okay so here are some more. I felt kind of lazy so I haven't taken any pictures of the filter and the stuff inside the fender yet. I'll do that tomorrow.

As for the install, it took me about 2.5 hours because the cold air extension was so hard to fit through. You'll need to twist and turn a bit because it's a REAL TIGHT FIT. As advice, I'd take it slow because there are a few scratches on mine when my buddy finally got it through to fit. The rubber strip that injen sends you helps it so that your fender won't scratch up the intake as you're going down the road and over bumps. The manual they give you kind of sucks because the pictures aren't all that clear and fuzzy, but I could make out what they said. I took off the bumper, which wasn't as bad as I thought. You just remove all the screws on the bottom and the side and there are some clips that hold it on, you just give it a pull and it comes off. Much easier so that you can actually see what you're doing. I took the wheel off as well so that I could pull back the plastic splash gaurd for more room. I didn't take off the fender because the hold you have to fit the intake through is attached to the engine bay, not the fender. All and all, sweet sound and you can feel the hp like after 3000.
