what do u mean you get pulled over? you get pulled over because of the attention that they draw, or because their illegal? that sounds stupid to me.

oh, and i too would by a 2 gauge pod design for the cubby hole, but would like to see em' pointed to the driver kinda like in my buddys 350z. if zpi dont make em then ill have the custom shop down the street do them for me.
you idiot, there are new laws now for car modding in cali... guages will draw attention to cops and they will ask you to pop the hood, theyll see your turbo and give you a huge ___ ticket....

I agree with the single din radio and maybe squeeze some gauges in there for a stealth look. Passer bys wont be able to tell when the panel is closed.....I like this idea so much that I would consider moving my radio to the glove box and have my gauges hidden behind the panel....can probably fit about 4 in there.....

How about those extra slots where security would normally go?

In Hawaii, cops COULD write a ticket for a-pillar gauges if they wanted to for obstruction of sight , but most wouldn't. but this wouldn't pass annual state safety check for the same reason.

My idea for gauges would be for pods to be mounted to the center dash piece, a little to the left of the middle a/c vents. For me personally, i wouldn't give up my a/c but these would be good for those who wouldnt mind.

Well, when I go FI I will look for a gauge pod that matches the material of my a-pillar. I love the clean, well planned look, no black plastic over beige stock felt... In other words, I want one that fits on the A-Pillar but is covered in the same felt as the stock A-Pilllar

when the baby is turbo'd ill need 3 gauges, so is it possible to cater to that at all? not being picky, but if you had a dope 3 guage idea, i'd definately get it. theres my input.

If you could pull off a instrument panel like PoizentC posted, then I would be interested. That is a really good looking panel.

found a company posted on honda-tech that already is making single din plates that hold 3-52mm gauges. http://www.42draftdesigns.com/mk4tgp.htm

this is almost surely how i will be going since single din cd decks with mp3 playback are relatively cheap now. plus being able to hide the gauges, having them center and closer to the windsheild will be nice.

I'm down for that, just have the pods angled up so you can look down at them if you need to, plus, you dont really look at your pods all the time, just once in a while, so having them down there would be good, plus it would look PIMP
