Need some help where to relocate the 02 sensors. Most of the kits out there already have the 02 bungs welded in place of the down pipe/S pipe. But for those like me who pieced there kit together, where is the best place for these to go or does it matter??

 

put primary o2 sensor in the upper part of the down pipe, secondary on the s-pipe, and follow directions on your wideband for thier suggested location.

Personally, I dont have a downstream 02 sensor hooked up, but I have my primary about 7-8" from the turbo in my downpipe, than have my wideband about 3" from the stock primary. Ive heard stories about if you put a wideband sensor too far back in the exhaust stream, it wont be as accurate due to the lower egt's - dont know if this is true but Ive heard it a few times.

 

Hmmm really!? And your car runs fine? I would figure that not having o2's hooked up would make your ECU go crazy cause it's not reading the downstream.

lol nah no rant this time 2nd 02 sensor only checks cat efficiency - if you have it disconnected you'll get a CEL (I think its like bank 1 sensor 2 heater circuit malfunction?). Well something like that - but no, it wont affect anything, other than seeing the CEL

Haha yeah - Ive been debating trying to find a secondary 02 so i could rig up a couple antifoulers and actually be CEL free
