06 scion TRD Supercharger questions
Some of these have been answered here! Im sure, just can find the answers
I installed the S/C and the top of the air box keeps jumping out of it's hold down about every 3 days I have to unclip the top of the air box and reseat the engine side
The engine side clips of the bottom of the air box are not tight (they move back and forth is that normal.
Also it seams you have to put the pedal right to the floor to get it to boost it seams like I actually lost power from a dead punch when I had my CAI
Of course that is overcome as RPMs build
Will the 110 bov help this and if so where can I get it...
This air box thing is really getting to be a pain and eventually it will ware out the plastic tabs on the air box
Any suggestions? 06 TC Manual Trans

ok I'll answer the questions in order.
1. that black clip thing doesn't work very well, at least with the ones I've seen including my own. So yes it is normal.
2.On this type of s/c it builds boost in higher rpm's, there isn't mad insane power off the punch this s/c doesn't work that way sadly.
3.the 110 will help hold the boost better over the stock 102 at peak rpm 6.2k (roughly) you should see 7 lbs of boost. The 110 is roughly 60 bucks or so, if you plan to go for more boost in the future I'd recommend the forge 007. It's practically the same item but made out of metal, and it's nicer to look at.
p.s. you may see if you can adjust the tube that runs from the air box, and see if that helps, i.e. trim it, make sure it is on as far as it can go.
Perhaps a picture could be more beneficial in order for us to help fix the problem.

Ive had the supercharger since friday and I know what you mean about the airbox. The fender side latches work fine but the black bracket on the engine side doesnt exactly click into place and seems to slide/pop off. I dont know why they didnt use the latches like they did on the fender side. I got it to latch for the time being but Im going to check it again in a couple of days. If it comes undone again, Im gonna take it to Toyota.
I moved the hose up on the intake side of the supercharger and it seems to fit better but time will tell if it pulls out. I am getting a horn noise now I believe it is from the BOV it occures under vacuum between 6 and 0 inches it is annoying on the highway mine has been on for about 700 miles now and I am working out the kinks before I add the 9.5 pully and methonal injection I added a gauge pod right away to monitor the boost
