the zip turbo kit...haven't heard of that...

there was the zpi turbo kit, but they are out of business. suggest looking at www.dezod.com or turbo toyotas.

first of all, you should do about 6 months of research before you decide to do this. In that time you would have found numersoue threads on these forums alone stating that ZPI is out of business.

contact http://www.dezod.com or http://turbotoyotas.com
Oh, and however you plan on spending...double it.

yeah, it isn't as simple as video games make it seem. you don't just buy and install stage 1 turbo and enjoy the boost of power. you really need to think it through with which kit you get, and the necessary supporting hardware to go along with it.

also, don't be in such a rush to void your powertrain warranty. fixing cars is expensive.

Do the button press one, where you just hit the button and it throws you back. Thats the best one. Its the fastest out of all of them.

I doubt you will find anything for 2500-3000.

www.treadstoneperformance.com <--Their kit is right at $3k but thats just the kit.

And like Mr. Meaty said: Double what you plan on spending! For a turbo if I went with treadstone (which I might be) I plan on still spending close to or more than $4500-$5000 which includes: some form of management, wiring harness, gauges, tune, etc. And take your time to research carefully! I still haven't finished all of my research so I could be spending even more than I currently intend to, I'm even considering doing a transmission swap (auto -> manual) as well so way all of your options and consider other mods you may want to do in the future.

As for how much boost a stock motor can handle I'm not to sure, but anything between 5-9p.s.i you should be safe but I think that depends on the size of the turbo? But I've read that our motors can only take between 300-350hp before anything needs to be rebuilt.

No offense, but search some threads on here. All those questions have been answered before.
You can get a base kit for about $3500, does not include management, gagues, install, tune, etc...like I said...double it. Otherwise, just get the SuperCharger and your good to go. the SC for the '05 is like $1800.

Study Study Study....Learn where others have failed! Think about the long run cost of what you plan to do.... Can you afford to fix what you break? Mr Meaty is right on with you need to read till your eyes fall out!!!
