Default 10w40 In my Greddy Turbo Kit?? Thickerr Oiler?

I got told to run a little thicker oil a couple steps up on both ends of my oil...... Anyone running any higher oil with a boosted tC

im am no problem at all.. even on texas winters. I usually switch back to 5w30 though towards the end of the year

I ran my greddy kit with 5w-30 mobil 1 fully synthetic year round for two years no problem, just use good fully synthetic and change every three month or 3000 miles you be alright...

i change oil depends on use usually 2500miles, 3000 miles will be too much of boost very often..

i started with 5w30....blew turbo...went to royal purple 10w30 no problems, when i replaced my head gasket i couldnt afford rp so i went with mobile one 10w30 and now my seals are going out. so now im on valvoline vr1 20w50 and it eliminated almost all shaft play....granted i also have over sized crank bearings to be able to run such a thick oil. depends on what turbo you have kinda. if its a dual ball bearing then run whatever. if its a journal bearing then run a thicker oil

Over sized crank bearings would be tighter cleanaces.. ;) You mean undersized!

I dunno but 20w-50 is a lil to much for my blood why not at least 10w-40. I have now 10w-30 mobile 1 and have yet to have problem. Though I have been meaning to try 10w-40.

i keep thinking the i have over sized for some odd reason. i guess because my clearance is a bigger mm...something like .32mm i believe haha

been pretty good mike. having a few problems but ive got some secrets waiting to be revealed. couple more small things and well see how the cc stage 4 really does lol.

I ran 8 psi 251whp 295wtq tuned at trickengineering, NH.....Are you tuned at all? I dont really beat on my car like these boosted fools my car is a daily driver sometime I get on it and do burn outs and take off on locals on red light that about it...also track it once in a blue moon at NE dragway....
