Default 16g turbo

I recently built my engine and was wondering how much power could I possibly get out of this small turbo. My power goals are to have 350whp+ ...before building the engine I put down 300whp but now I have lower compression and the car feels a little slugish.

get a gt3076 I'm sure u can get 350+ easy on pump gas but i would go bigger like at gt35. Im sure u can get 350 at 16-18 psi but i think fuel will stop u unless u are using e-85,race fuel or water and meth to bring the octane levels up.

A local here broke 400whp with a 16G on E85 around 18psi. Keep in mind dyno numbers are hard to compare, 400whp on a dynojet here could only be around 350whp on a Mustang dyno elsewhere.

i just think he will be running high A/F on pump gas to get a true 350+ on a 16g. if he has cams and head work i thing it will be no issue.

you can, but you might end up spending more money with the 16g. keep in mind, intake temps will raise dramatically once you start to push the turbo to its max

you guys are not helping this poor guy, OP you have a built motor trying to push 350hp, cool that is possible with a stock engine aswell but because the 16g is so small youll have 350 early in the power band then the power will just drop off, too small of a turbo it will blow hot air you will need a to4e or bigger for a good powerband

Intake temps will be very high at that power and like you said power will fall off top, thats why i suggested a 20g, more top end power than a 16g

Yea but then you said if he has cams and head work he will be good, cams and head work will only make it worse, cuz the engine will want to suck in more air than stock and the 16g won't keep up

Dude when the hell does a fully built cylinder head give u less power. Also keep in mind I wrote high A/F on pump gas to get a true 350 whp every dyno is different. They can make it say 350 if they wanted to? I also think is EGT will be extremely hot but I think it's capable. I'm sure there a few evo's that have got 350 with cams and pump gas.
