OP, u asing a boost controller? That midrange on 3rd seemed pretty smooth, didn't look like it was going to break loose.

IM not sure how much power im making anymore ive dynoed anywhere from 265-271-293 whp over the years on less boost then im running now.. I am using a hallman pro rx boost controller and running 11.5-12 psi. i do spike to around 15 psi initially now adays with my 3" descendant exhaust. i have a 3" s-pipe waiting to go in as soon as i get my wideband back in the car. as far as wheel spin i do have some in 3rd but with temps last night it wasent bad and my tires were already warmed up before that run. I am switching to a EBC soon to try to get that boost spike under control also so i can have boost by gear. i did just fix a bunch of boost leaks and change my plugs my motor has 62k of boosted abuse.

nice to hear is running great, I'm also using a hallman pro and it is very smooth on my setup. Used to be running XS boost controller and it was a lil jerky. Temps make a huge difference, in cold weather even my 3rd is useless.

Did you noticed the spikes before or after the exhaust install? I've had my descendant exhaust siting in the garage for a couple of months now waiting on a fuel return setup, also waiting to complete the down-pipe to do the install. Good luck with everything man.

Boost spike came after the exhaust, I couldent get much over 10 psi on my dezod exhaust but im running the light spring in the hallman.. I was gonna try the heavy spring but ive had a world motorsports PBC-1 sitting on the shelf for 2 year figure i should try it. If i hook up a switch to it and mount it in the right location i can switch threw boost levels for a boost by gear effect. i am switching over to a e-manage ultimate wanna raise the rev limit and if someway possible really wanna get rid of the speed govenor. car needs a good retune anyhow.

I was bored too and decided to go run a 2010 SHO for fun and threw a rod. Those things are fast up top no joke. Hope you gonna build your motor soon cause having fun can hurt your pockets bro.

Could you film a 0-60 run? I just want to see if there is much of a change with 2x the hp.

I stopwatches about 9 seconds from 40-100. I really thing this Turbo is to small for this motor it wont hold the boost up top. Thinking about switching to a World-racing. Kit. I just checked my Turbo and its got very little shaft play so we will see I guess.

Were you ahead at least? I often think same might happen to me, "oh gosh I'm gonna run this dumb___ and I might end up throwing a rod". Can't wait for a built engine. What are your plans?

cdp, we'll see once I get mine installed cuz I bought my hallman used and have no idea if it is the soft or hard spring. So far I'm between 8.5 and 9 psi and it is very smooth. One thing I did though was to take mike's suggestion to install a fuel filter in the vacuum lines to smooth out any pulsations in the system. I went a lil beyond and installed one to every line; Ex. boost gauge, fic, wastegate, etc. It made a heck of a difference, spikes aren't bigger than .2 psi now
