What would i need to do to get 300 + whp with either a dezod or turbotoyotas kit.
Im getting one in a few months and i want to be pushing those numbers after install.

Of course i know i have to tune and the only things i will have installed when the turbo comes will be a greddy ti-c catback and a injen cai.

a tune at about 10 psi, a new s pipe if the kit doesnt include it, exhaust should be 2.5" or 3". cai is useless

 

Any of the following turbo kits: Dezod, TT, or Turbonetics.

Just gotta be between 10-12psi on a conservative tune - with at least a 2.5" S-pipe and exhaust.

It'll help too if you're dyno'ing on a Dynojet as opposed to a Mustang Dyno.

 

^^ yup! Made 310whp at 9 psi with a OG stage one turbotoyotas kit! It all depends on the tune my friend!

 

hmm well not trying to be right or anything, but i heard that pushing 300+ would definitely need a 3" exhaust

 

3" full exhaust is needed for 400 or 500whp plus if i'm not mistaken (well not needed but recommended)

2.5" (good low end torque) is more than enough for 300-400whp

Not to mention you'll save money on the exhaust system ^^

I'd recommend the Turbo toyotas or Dezod kit turbo kits.

Also you would need to be boosting about 10psi.

Colder Spark Plugs (so you don't detonate =p )

Clutch and Pressure Plate for the new found power (or you're likely to start slipping)

i know im just so curious as to a 3 inch full exhaust is a hundred and sixty dollars, that blows my mind lol

 

my local exhaust shop its 3 inch from the down pipe with a glass pack all stainless pipe just not polished it dosent have a fart can its just a trun down behind my bumper

 

its all in the tune.. 10-12 psi will generally get MOST kits above 300+ ur cai and greddy ti-c will be useless with turbo.. dont use that exhaust its to small.

You should probably just get a boost controller for that.

7-9 psi low boost
10-12 psi high boost

 

u can run 10 psi DD imo.. ive seen as high as 14 locally and hes been on it for like 7 months.

 

Okay what about th exhaust. Custom sounds goooooood. Cheaper too.
I have a shop by my house where my buddy got his done.

What would i need to do or get to get a good lookin exhaust that will sound really good too, of course with no rasp?
