Motor:

ERL built and sleeved

Custom rods and Pistons

Headwork: Custom I think by Vance n Hines valvetrain and custom cams

Custom intake manifold built by Art himself. (currently nicest IM on the market IMO)

Turbo kit:

Custom Full-Race tubular manifold T4 divided with dual 44's

Using a GT4088

4" DP

Using AEM EMS...ditched the drive by wire (tough to do in a street car)

Hope that helps.

What you trying to do?

Regards-

Todd

Even though the Horizon TC is the only TC that has gone that fast...its not the car to copy..

Especially for a driver.

10's can be had.....9's to tough....but ya never know

Reaper-

Now that I know this we have to come up with a whole new plan.

Regards-

Todd

10's no problem? Do you have any idea how much $$$ it takes to make a 10 second car? This ain't the fast & furious, you can't put it on your tab at Harry's.

10's are attainable, but you're gonna sink a *LOT* of cash into it to make it happen, especially if you want it to be daily driven.

You pretty well agreed with me lol - I never said it wasn't possible, I just said it would take a lot of bank to make happen. And double that amount to dip into the 9's, and forget about daily driving it at that point.

Good luck with your quest.

The only car that I have seen running 9sec, and still be a daily driver was a Supra.

Well with it being a turbo car I will be running 2 diff boost setting one for daily driving and one for the strip. Makes it alot easier..

2 different settings with 4 stages (at least) of boost control

If you come up with a solid plan and stick to it..anything can be done.

Granted it does cost money but when done right it can actually be affordable.

10's are allot easier than 9's....9's cost big bucks as attrition plays a big role.

Which is why you dont see allot of 9 second or even low 10's 4 cyl street cars. You make that kind of investment you want to nurture it = less driving on the street.

Never said it was cheap. Scion owners are a cheap bunch with few exceptions which is why we don't see many of them but that doesn't mean it's hard. Just expensive. I'm building one as we speak and it certainly going to cost about as much as the car to make it do 600 WHP. Nothing really difficult about it just expensive and of course waiting for certain parts to be made.

Throwing money at a car won't make it run low ET's. I've seen lots of people throw tons of cash at their car, only for it to run like poo because they don't have a clue what they're doing. I'm not saying you don't, but it's far from "easy" to run 10's for the average person. On paper it may do it, but a lot of things don't operate the same in the real world as they do on paper.
