AEM boost controller question
hey guys
quick background on the car
RS1, 5speed running a pretty basics set up
t3/t4, 440cc injectors, 3" full exhaust, front mont IC, with greddy ultimate Emanage
alright question here is im going to be ordering an AEM EBC Tru Boost in the next few days and was wondering how it works with adjusting different amounts of PSI on the EBC if your fuel managemnt system is set into a specific PSI.
With Greddy ultimate Emanage you can have two different fuel maps. would i have to set the EBC to the same amount of PSI as the fuel map or does the EBC connect in anyway to the Emanage. Can you guys shine some knowledge on this topic for me
thanks

Ok one thing you need to know about tru boost is that setting boost level is not in PSI.. Its based on wastegate duty cycle in %, so its gonna be dependent on your wastegate spring what duty cycle you set to get to your target boost level..
and truboost will work independently from your ultimate to if you switch map make sure you change your boost setting to so both will match.. but actually you can use one map only but tuned at different boost level

well right now im running .4 bar so something like 5psi and im just on the stock ECU. i plan on going to 12 but heard that its beteer to go to 10 because it will spike 1-2 psi. i havent decided yet but i would like to run 8 psi low and 10-12 high
so if the tru boost is set to say 8 psi i will have to switch to the map that is 8 and if i switch to a high psi, i will have to switch the emanage to the map set to high psi?
how does the dudty seeting work, im kinda confused on the concept of that

^^ you dont have to use different maps to boost on different levels.. all you have to do I tune the map at all boost levels you want to use.. lets say you have you map tune at 7psi but want to boost as high as 11, you just have to set your boost at 7psi then tune it all the way up.. only on one map.
Duty cycle is based on your spring, truboost starts at 10% usually its around 0-1psi over you wastegate spring, as you go up the more boost you will add.. each car is different so you have to figure it out on you setup.. on mine each 10-15% is around 1psi (on the dyno), I have an 8psi spring, 20% is around 9 psi
