Default AEM Water/ Meth

I have had this sitting around for almost a year, and figured it was time to install it... no Biggie, run some wires and a hose from my trunk to the intake, throw a nozzle a few inches in front of the throttle body, fill it up and thats all! Right? HA!

My issue is that it works when I hit the test. Perfectly. It just refuses to work in actual practice. I turn it on, it has power and all, it just does not activate under boost. I know the wiring is good because the test works, and it has no error codes. The vac sensor is T'd into the same vac hose as my gauges and FIC, so that should be fine also. AHHH I hate when things dont go right. If anyone has experience with this, please please please chime in

Much appreciated.

I will tune it once it works. The issue I am having is getting it to spray at all, other than when I use the test function on it. This setup has a progressive controlled that begins spraying at x PSI and is at full pressure at y PSI. Mine are 3 and 7, respectively.

There has to be a problem with it sensing how much boost you're delivering then, if the test goes through fine. I'd recheck all your lines again with a fine tooth comb and some fancy spectacles.

They suggest wiring it into the ignition 12v so it is on when the car is on, but I ran it straight off the battery, to a switch so I can power it up if I want, or simply leave it turned off. When it is on, it only sprays when it reads boost (you decide the window it activates in) which is a nice feature if I can get it to work.

Ill see what I can do about pictures. I am pretty bad about getting back to people when they ask for stuff like that.

Correct. It can be set as low as .5PSI to start, though.

use the fic's 12v aux out It can be set on boost and throttle conditions - mines set to over 60% throttle and over 15.5 psi (remember the fic goes on absolute pressure so this is actually about 1 psi of boost) alot more accurate and eaiser to adjust to your liking

really? Damn I didn't know that at all.

What needs to be hooked up for that, just the 12v AUX from fic to the control box? I dont need the vacuum hooked up at all to the meth kit then do I?

what psi you hitting the gas to go to so you can check if its spraying at boost? and since you have a 10 psi pulley you should put it t start at 2 psi and end at 10. you suppose to start at 25% of total boost for start psi and max psi know at your max bost level. it says it in the manual. and make sure you use a flat head not a phillips head screwdriver cause you will strip the knows trust me i did it in my AEM Meth kit lol. so i am guessing at what start psi i am at lol!

thats what the 60% throttle takes care of, if i go into boost under 60% throttle it wont engage, you could go higher if you like, like say 80% throttle so basically you have to be going into wot on takeoff for it to engage

so i can use throttle control as opposed to setting it to a psi? i still think bieng able to use a switch for on and off is better and then have it set to a psi level.
