Default aem wideband problem

so my car is at the tuner and they said the wideband is stuck at 14.8. Anyone else have this problem. they said i can still drive it even without the gauge once they tune it. is this a good idea?

if its just a bad sensor - autozone has an lsu wideband 02 sensor that will work perfectly as a replacement - and is only $62+tax. Im using this sensor with my autometer wideband - they use the same lsu sensor so im positive it will work with your's also - if you need the part number let me know and i can look at the box it came in when i get home - i think i still have that box with my old wideband sensor in it somewhere

Sensor is probably not connected or dead. That is the default reading for it when it is disconnected.

IMO you want your wideband to work in order to know if your running rich or lean, the fact that its stuck at 14.8 means that its not hooked up as paul said.

Dont ever run a car on boost without a wideband.

ah. also the boost guage is outputting 12 volts the shop said it should be between 1-5.
Paul couple questions,

is it ok to drive temporaily with out the wideband?
the shop says i need a new boost gauge, wideband and a sandwich adaptor for my oil pressure gauge how much would that run from you?

P.S. Just told me the numbers
257 hp on stock exhaust pics and dyno later

Well if the car is tuned, and the system does not rely on the WB O2 for any type of closed loop feedback then it does not matter if it's in place. In other words, if it's just for reference and monitoring, who cares then if you need to drive it for a few days like that.

New AEM sensor is:

Boost Gauge:

Sandwich adapter, GReddy are in stock, $70
