I don't think i'll be making a test drive today carlos, the roads are like mush and I don't feel like getting my engine filthy because i'm going to have to go under it again in a week or two to install the dp and sp. I'm going to start it up again and make sure there are no leaks though.

 

Buahahah. Roads cleared up and I had a chance to take the car out for a spin. Its running really rich right now and at cruising speeds (Constant 45-50) its about at 12.2-12.9. When I pull the car out of gear, the car bounces from 12.9 to off the scale lean and then back to 12.9. Rpm goes from 500-1000 and keeps on oscillating. I got to hear the bov go off a few times so i'm psyched! I definitely am going to need a tune here very soon.

A few things i'm going to have to take care of...
1) Fans are blowing the wrong direction away from the radiator. (I have no clue how because i checked numerous times the polarity of the wires.)

2) Remove the lining on my hood and use only the heat shield. I though i could use both but I was wrong, some of the plastic melted onto the manifold. lol

3) get the new dp, and fit it to the car with the sp.

 

did you flip the fan blades over? that's what i had to do in addition to wiring the motors in reverse polarity from stock.

 

what do you have as per eng management?

if you have the f/ic send me the map and i'll help you do a street tune lol

also, with the fans try to have one push one pull

 

Emanage Blue. I have java's tune. Right now i have two pulls. LOL I reversed the polarity too! I'll have to figure it out next time i'm home. I'm going back to school here in a few.

 

yeah thats true, depends on the fan blade design.. sometimes to get more air flow blades have to be flipped together with connecting w/ right polarity

 

I'm not sure, the polarity on the fans are reversed but I didn't flip the blades. I didn't know you could. How come no one filled me in on this?

good to know. lol. Does anyone know where i can get those fancy zip ties for the fans? I'll need them now since I have to reverse the fans.

also, anyone know where to get a t fitting for the oil? I owe my friend one because i took his.

Jeez man, get some motor mounts while you're at it. They make a HUGE difference.

I can't keep up with all the TT threads, I stopped going into them lol. I think the last thing I posted in anyones thread was 'What's a catch can?" and I don't think anyone realized that I knew what it was, but that I was implying that I don't have one . Open vacuum line thingy FTW!
