Man, I could hardly sleep last night. This crap is driving me insane! lol I'm hoping to pull the pan today and see if there is anything stuck in my oil strainer. How would I go about cleaning it, would anyone know?

hell yeah harder, it feels like it pull all thruout the way and not just the begining and mid and kind of weaker on top.

I did test it out on the empty beltway 8, after logging this guy in an early 2000 Lexus with exhaust system (what I could see) wanted to race me or something. We got to a red light and he went on green, I really didn't care but took off faster than normal. By third I decided to floor it and OMG, u should of seen this guys face when I went past him. It took me 'till top 4th gear to catch up, but it looked like my trap speed at that moment was like 30 mph faster than him.

He was cool afterwards and bow down to me when I slowed down.

Kevin, good luck with the hunt. I was certain that could of been ur problem. Since ur taking it all apart, take ur time bro. And afterwards don't be stingy with the oil pan sealant, u don't want it leaking either.

I think I've made up my decision, i'm going to pull the pan, clean the strainer, and put in 10w40. If the the oil pressure doesn't go up and I still have that cam chattering, I'm going to pull the kit. I think this my last option. I'll just know I tried almost everything to get this thing going. At this point, almost one year later, I'd like to be able to sleep easier at night. Its almost worth it now.

no sir. both the stock gauge and the defi pressure sensor senses low oil pressure at idle. My cams chattering don't lie either. does anyone know the torque specs for those oil bolts for the strainer? should i use locktite?

tahst really strange - did you do anything to the motor other than just tapping the pressure sensor for the feed and the pan for the return??

you can use locktite if you like...id suggest locktite blue just incase later you want to do a build it will be alot easier to get the bolts off. Locktite blue is meant to hold but still alow easy removal of the bolt. as far as tq goes idk, personaly i go by feel on something like that.

I have a gut feeling that something is going to be blocking the pickup since you have gone through everything else. you might still be ok though.

Well guys, I think I'm going to have to say it but my turbo adventure will be ending. I drain the oil and pulled the pan. My oil was COOKED and looked like hell had hit it. There was alot of sludge. We pulled out the strainer to see it covered in sludge, a little pan sealent, and a few shards of metal. Not too too concerning. As I was trying to clean up my oil pan i decided to stick my finger inside the sludge and feel it. I noticed that it felt like sand.... come to find it is dust particles of metal. I'm so so so so screwed. This may be the end of my tC days... sorry to say guys.
