another stupid nitrous question
ok, so i didnt do my homework, and the company i gave my car to, installed a nitrous system that was not compatible for the tC... it works now, but its only on a 10 OUNCE bottle... my question is... can you just put a bigger bottle on the line and run the system the same way, i know i may need a warmer and etc, but once N2O is on the car, bottle size does not matter does it?? if it does, i was also told i can just piggy back another 10 ounce bottle or 2 to add to it, but i thought it would be easier to just go get the 10 POUND bad boy... correct me if im wrong?
mmmmmm... OK. what system is it? I have never heard of a 10 ounce bottle...but that doesn't mean anything...except I have never heard of it. What shot are you trying to run? I'm running a 10lb bottle with the zex kit 75 shot.
Is it a wet or dry system?

ok maybe its not a 10 ounce bottle, i think they said its 3 lbs, but the inside weight of actual usable nitrous is anyhere between 10 ounces toa a lb... its the venom nitrous recluse 500 system... venom doesnt do their shots by hp for some reason, rather they do by orifice size, and im running a .035" what that translates into i have no idea
.035 is 35/1000ths of an inch. That's how all of the nitrous companies do it, as far as i know.
So, 35/1000ths of an inch translate to a "35" pill,
A 3lb bottle won't do very much for you. Most people run a 10 pound bottle. are you running a dry or wet kit?
Any kit is compatible with your ride...whoever did your kit didn't know what they were doing.
The pressure is what is important, aside from the nitrous. Get yourself a 10 pound bottle. Get a bottle gauge on it. Make sure your bottle gauge reads between 900 and 1000 when you run, 950 being ideal. You will want to refill your bottle when there's only a few pounds left. How do you know when there's only a few pounds left? weigh it. Most bottles that are used for 10 pounds of nitrous are about ~14.5 pounds, empty. when it is full (with 10lbs of nitrous), it should weigh around ~24lbs. The only way to know how much nitrous is left in the bottle is to put it on a scale. If the bottle weighs 20lbs, then you've got ~6lbs of nitrous left.
Hope this helps.
