Default specs for the greddy and zpi

yeah it's prolly a repeated thread but whatever.

here's the question though. what are the zpi 's stage 0 quarter mile? what is the greddy's quarter mile? what puts down more horsepower. i was leaning towards the zpi and working my way up...but it might be cheaper in the long run for the greddy. also what's the most psi someone's running on the greddy? and what would overall be faster.. and ____ like that. any details great.! thanks.! oh the plan for the zpi would be to get after the turbo, a bov, intercooler, and injectors..so basically a stage 1.

1/4 mile is as much driver as kit...

GReddy says 250 or so HP (Not known WHP or crank) at 8.5 PSI with upgraded injectors...

My ZPI runs approx 240WHP at 6 PSI on stock injectors on a stage 0 without FMIC... Price wise they are comparable, but I see A LOT of expandability built into the ZPI kit, when compared side by side to the GReddy... Along with the ability that you have to talk to the VP of the company, like at Scionnight III, or through AIM or on here

I'm upgrading to 550 cc injectors, FMIC, Emanage, SSSQ, and should be at or near 300 when done with that alone at around 9-10 PSI and suggest the builded approach to F/I, unless you've jumped in a lot previously... as it's better to go with a smooth learning curve, than jumping all in at once...

Also, in my conversations with ZPI at SN III, I've heard a lot more of the new developement and some LARGE power coming out of the setups and some new things coming down the line for bolt on add ons... (Nothing like a bolt on Equal length manifold to pretty things up a bit and get things a little more umph..... it's coming!)

That's my favorite thing, as building up is still as PnP and add ons all fit the current kit... Which you'd have to go to individual shops to do with the GReddy at this time...

there are some cool GReddy kitted guys out here as well... so I'm sure they'd post some good info about their looking for more power as well with the kit...

If there was a stage 0 around here, I would show you the difference via film.

260whp is obtainable with an out of the box greddy kit.

No absolute need for emanage, and running a tad rich, but just lowers fuel economy a bit and is much safer than pushing lean conditions... If you wish to upgrade to run emanage, it's pretty easy and will get a little more performance, but it's not absolutely neccesary...

I have to wait for a GReddy Turbo'd tC up here... as I'll take them out, even with full sound deadoning/19s/roll bar... (Waiting)

BUT....

Remember than exhaust setup, tune (if you wish), and tweaks on the PSI all determine ultimate performance... so, he'd be at a disadvantage, as I run open dump wastegate and full mandrel bent exhaust, and a few other little things...

I'll be Stage one quite soon, but took the Stage 0 to a REAL track three days out of the box and it performed solidly and without a hitch.

if he's pushing 240 on a stage 0 zpi witout injectors and an intercooler.. it's only 20 horses from a greddy... and he's on stock boost..haha

I just emailed my local dyno shop and am waiting to see if he can hook me up on a good price... if so, I'll run the Zero for a good reference point for you... sound good?

I would really like to go with the ZPI stage 0 kit but Im really worried I wont have my kit for a few months. Thats the only thing holding me back. For now its going to be the GReddy kit. Glad to hear its working great for you though and I will definitely follow your progress.

I got my kit on Wednesday and the only issue ZPI ever had with me was the company providing the turbo got backordered on them... but that was like a one week issue. They have them in stock now, so you should be good to go on shipment...

Anytime you wish to purchase, you can always PM Keisha, or call and they will be able to tell you if they have a full kit in stock, or what the estimated ship time will be... They were right on with my wait on the turbo itself and should have little to no wait time currently at all...

IMO, ZPI has put a lot of focused energy and time on just Scion and thats great to see a company so focused on one make. Im going ZPI for sure as soon as I can get the chance.

Great then! I'll still keep them in mind. Im on a budget so its between the two. Im thinking I'll be safer without management going with the stage 0 but if I wanted to upgrade with an FMIC or other stuff it might be harder with the stage 0 since the GReddy already comes with extras. We'll see. Thanks guy!
