another sucessful dezod install!!! pics!! (56k be warned)
so this past friday my friend and i made the trip down to NC to meet up with matt(prototypeXB) to install his dezod kit onto my car. and man i cant say enough how pleased i am with this kit and the install! matt did an EXCELLENT job installing this thing! he did everything from start to finish in roughly 4 1/2 hours, and some of that time was spent just messin around, so it was really done in about 4 hours, which is phenomenal! only had 1 problem on start up and that was leaking oil outta one of the lines, but it was just because it wasnt tightened up(which was mostly my fault cuz i asked him a question while he was in the process of putting that line on
). so far it has run perfect, no check engine light, nothing! everything is very smooth, and man this kit FLYS! more mods are going to be put on soon, i have act clutch, ingalls dampner, hks turbo timer, epod gauge pod, dc sports exhaust on the way to be installed by next weekend, and in a month or so i will have it retuned and i will post dyno sheet, 1/4 mile times and videos!! stay tuned!! here are some pics of the install to hold you over til then though
. sorry for the
but i had to make sure i raved enough about how pleazed i am
.

. sorry for the
.

This may sound like a really dumb question and totally not related to anything actually in the turbo set up, but... can the sillicone pipe connectors be red instead of blue
. When I eventually get a turbo put in I want to keep my theme going.
yay, pics!! Very small pics :S
The oil slip up was a trip. The turbo primed just perfectly. No leaks, nothing. Then understart up we had a small mess on the floor! Never again will brandon ask me about an exhaust hanger when i'm messing with oil lines! The feed fitting on the T block fitting was loose, DOH!
We checked EVERYTHING twice over before the first crank and this gots past us. No biggie, a few turns of a wrench and she was sealed and brandon was boosting away.
The install went very very smoothly. All the stock componets came out quickly. The oil pan i actually got out in about 10 minutes. Once that booger was out it was just extremely smooth sailing from them. Oh god! Brandon, i forgot how long the engine management and injectors took to put in! Oh man, hope i never have to do that again. Plug and play is so difficult :D Still can't believe you don't have a CEL. I revised the mechanical non-fouler that i used to what you have now. I would get a bank 2 or catalytic code thrown once in a while, but now it looks i hit the jackpot. Brandon's running NO catalytic converter and NO CEL's. Man, i should sell these things huh?
Let me know how she does at the track and you should come down here again and run me now. You'll still win, but i couldn't look any better losing:

Welcome to Dezod boost!
i will be getting it retuned sometime around the end of this month. as soon as i get all the parts that i ordered for it and install them i will be goin to Ptuning(closest place that is highly recommended to tune the e-manage) within that week to get it retuned.
