Hey I was wondering if any one that is boosted uses a foam intake filter.... i tried searching and couldnt find anything on it but i know a lot of Srt's, STI's, WRX's, use perrins foam filter....

I was wondering what if any pros/cons you see to a foam intake setup on our cars turbocharged....

Not that i think it would matter much, it has me thinking?

right now i have an AEM 3'' Dryflow on my setup

 

just gotta replace em kinda often.. they tend to deteriorate a little over time

 

they are cheep but extremely restrictive... I tried it and it wasn't so bad on my intake pipe but I recently went to a filter directly on my turbo and i must say foam sux. especially the ones at auto zone. lol.... just buy a mesh one they work lot better... I think the foam hold out the heat more that's why the Subaru guys are using them b/c they have everything including the inter cooler under the hood

 

just buy a blitz filter and call it a day

ya i am using an AEM DryFlow right now...Im going to look into the blitz dont know much about them....
